Nya it’s wildly common for people in the us to use mental health as a wedge issue and do nothing to actually advocate or support people with mental health issues if not actively hurting and discriminating against the people with mental illness/disability or mental health issues in their life. Republicans will say shootings are a mental health issue and then defund social services for mentally ill people.

Nya Neither party actually cares about creating a system that accommodates and meets the needs of people living with disabilities. Many people don’t recognize our full humanity because they see us as an interference to regular society. They see us as beings that must be cured of their faults
