People need to realize it doesn’t matter if Charlie was racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. The bottom line is someone was assassinated for exercising their first amendment rights. That should absolutely terrify you and is never something to celebrate

I didn’t agree with him. Ever. But he had the right to say the things he did. And if we start determining we can kill people for saying things we don’t agree with, then we’re gone as a country

I do think a lot of people on the left are confused about the difference between “did he deserve it?” and “is it politically useful?” and don’t fully realize that they can have VERY different answers. But anyways, in the words of Clarence Darrow: “I’ve never wished death on any man, but I have enjoyed a few obituaries.”
