We have a tendency to treat individuals as if they are the root of the problem (when they are usually symptoms of the problem) because feels more manageable if the problem is just that a few people have shitty characters

In regard to the system of America you can’t improve upon it. It’s inherently racist. The root of America is racism. The only true way to fix the systemic issues is to get rid of that system entirely and replace it with something new.
