
So what? Do you not think it’s shameful for only the tribes to be conserving and grazing bison. From what I have read, tribes will still be able to graze bison on public lands. But it’s absolutely a disgrace for the federal government to take a stance against one of the most iconic symbols of America.
It all really depends where they're going from there, it could be somewhere that offers more protections from predators than public lands generally do (and by extension allows larger population growth) or it could be just some piece of shit appeasement lands from the cattle industry like you assume
“Oh god some of the millions of acres of prairie that the federal government provides for us will have the animals that have lived there for hundreds of thousands of years. What ever will we do if there’s a few hundred things that aren’t cows. Anyways give me millions of dollars of federal subsidies NOW”
