I agree, but it’s worth bringing up the hypocrisy. We can’t have a conversation about empathy for someone like Charlie Kirk if we gloss over a gross lack of empathy for people just trying to live their lives. this should be a moment to reflect on the harm of glee for others’ misfortune

then that’s fine and I’m not talking about you. but you’re part of this yikyak - you’ve seen the way folks talk about immigrants here. and many of those folks are defending Kirk today.

Real. They’re ficked up. But I find the reactions to Kirk’s death to be extremely stupid. This is going to hurt PR, and as much as it’s not a majority of people on the left, it’s going to look that way and people will act on it.
