They truly truly did. I couldn’t even imagine it at the time. The idea they’d waste their opportunity SO HARD that it’d make me feel like people who voted *green* are vindicated? I literally couldn’t even fathom it at the time.

Exactly. The way they dug their heels in and failed to make the correct pivots and instead tilted even farther right is beyond me. Their base is confused at best and they and the party are simply holding onto each other for dear life and it is sad. Just let it rot and build something, idk, effectual
