Just a genuine question, What is the difference between “Republican/Conservative” vs “MAGA” when a Democrat says them?

They used to be overlapping groups, I believe MAGA and Republican are now interchangeable. “Conservative” is a misnomer that doesn’t apply to MAGAs in the slightest, they’re actively hostile to any kind of substantive conservatism.

If you voted for trump you’re MAGA. That’s main gist

At this point there is no difference. MAGA is the Republican Party and has been for a decade

there is no one definition that everyone is using as standard they overlap and people aren’t always differentiating

For me it’s so hard to tell whether it is referring to Republicans as a whole or just the MAGA group of them

you can be a conservative and not be maga, you can also kind of be a republican and not be maga but it’s getting harder

But it depends on what MAGA is. Ex. there are people that are Republicans but don’t support everything that Trump says. I’d say MAGA, since that was Trumps movement, would be anyone that supports anything he says. Like there are Democrats that supported Bernie Sanders, so not every democrat agreed entirely with Biden but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t Democrats.
