
I’d definitely agree that Target and Walmart are greedy ass corporations. But if we didn’t treat theft from these stores as a crime then everyone would just steal from them and they’d be unable to operate. And then who would want to be in the business of selling groceries or other essentials? I don’t blame people for stealing food from these stores when they can’t afford to feed themselves or their families, but I also don’t see how it’d be better for everyone if we didn’t treat that as a crime
You’re not owed a small business. Why would people choosing Walmart over a local store justify stealing? You can argue it gives communities more independence by selling a larger range of cheaper goods. If you rlly don’t want Walmarts in your community get your community together and pass something at your city council.
