The bare minimum for the 2028 democratic presidential primary. If you think these are “unrealistic” or “too extreme,” YOU are the reason the GOP will hold yet another four years in office and continue to destroy our country. Remember that.

And prosecuting everybody who is unconstitutionally breaking apart American institutions right now. Maybe even #1, to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Weed legalization is currently stalled because of some lawsuit it seems. The president can’t just do that at the drop of a hat. Biden already put the plan in motion for it

“Designate white nationalist groups as organized domestic terrorists” what acts of terrorism has, say, Patriot Front or other groups ever been connected to? There have been some lone wolf attacks, but there are no organized white nationalist domestic terror groups.

The only thing on this list I agree with is designating white nat. groups as domestic terrorists, and positive international relations. The rest I think would result in bad governance. But no one listens to me anyway, even though I’m not conservative…

I don’t agree with abolishing ICE cuz they have a purpose (even though they aren’t serving it rn) and what is recognizing Palestine as a state going to do to end the war? - a leftist

This entire thing can be circumvented by Congress. The reason you run a president on congressional policy is because they’re the leader of the party and have the power to veto/sign bills. This would also give democrats (especially progressives) momentum all over the country in local, state, and federal elections.

Running on a “lock them up” platform is giving Clinton crime bill tbh. And it’s not going to make sense to the swing voters who still remember “defund the police” (even though that never ended up happening)

Would be nice, but we couldn’t even get the Dem-controlled house to pass an amendment to stop disqualifying prior weed users from security clearance (you can still get it but you have to do some more explaining). We’ll need a serious progressive majority in both chambers. That means none of this Green Party shit in PA and other swing states

And It wasn’t all of them, it was only about 2,500 on a “extreme” basis. So he did a lot of good but I’m saying a full, unilateral pardon for all federal non-violent drug offenses. That includes more folks than just possession charges. I also think they should call upon democratic/bipartisan governors to do the same. It’s the first step in ending private prisons.

Right which is why we need to start organizing now

I think it ended up being like 6k, but yeah, I guess we could pardon people for distribution also. And absolutely, those charges should be expunged. I believe they are in a decent number of states

I disagree, people are fucking pissed. “Lock them up” would refer explicitly to people on this administration that have openly and blatantly violated the constitutional rights of Americans.

That’s fair. We have to find them guilty of actual crimes though, and it can’t look like a vindictive prosecution. That would get the case thrown out

They’ve committed their crimes proudly and openly in front of the American people. There’s no reason to worry about fake charges.

Right, we just can’t afford to be ambitious or anything with the charges. The case has to be airtight. We can’t afford to have another Fulton County fumble

ICE has no purpose when Customs and Border Protection already exists. We do not need a secret police loyal only to the President that doesn’t answer to Congress and has the authority to detain/arrest American citizens. After the horrors we’ve seen out of this admin, that is a nonnegotiable and as a matter of fact there needs to be at least 4-8 years of investigation and prosecution for anyone involved.

Recognition of a Palestinian State is the only path forward for a Free Palestine. Our nation has funded and been complicit in a genocide for two years and will be forced to spend the next century trying to wipe our hands clean of the blood. Again, this is a nonnegotiable and most of the world is already following suit.

ICE has a clear purpose as the pursuer of immigration and customs crimes (unless it’s drug or agriculture related, then I think it’s the DEA or USDA). HSI handles investigations and ERO handles deportations. That being said, they could absolutely just be folded into CBP. Nonetheless, we need to clean house. These people can never be hired again, and we need to know exactly who was employed in what capacity, including contractors (some of which seem to be former bounty hunters that have been…
