I said protesting Kamala Harris now was extremely Anti Black and everyone jumped down my throat saying to “Stop bringing Race into it”

i mean she still refuses to acknowledge a lot of the flaws of her campaign and is a frontrunner for 2028

She has not announced that she is running for 2028. Right now she is a private citizen. So what is protesting her NOW going to do to help Gaza?

What was mlk doing when he criticised white moderate allies? Did that immediately lead to anything?

Surely you aren’t comparing Martin Luther King Jr, a man who had a legitimate plan and was calculated with every move he made, to random protesters who currently have only protested at this point a private citizen. There are several siting Democrats and republicans who are in power yet yall are still trying to put a Black Woman in her place. Yall proved your point, she lost her election, what the fuck else do you want from her? SHE ISNT IN POWER

idk why you’re acting like she’s some kind of victim, reality was she failed completely to separate herself from the very unpopular Biden among other flaws, and now has the nerve to try and bring the Democrats more to the center (rightward), I mean the same people who don’t like her don’t like Biden and that isn’t racist

just seems like people who tweet shit like that are just trying to distract from genocide supporters, I mean the same people who despise Hakeem Jeffries also hate Chuck Schumer. These are party leaders, hiding race to avoid genuine criticism is so dumb, it’s literally what Zionists do daily

Ok why aren’t they protesting Biden? Or Jill? Or Pete? Or anyone else in that administration?!?! Kamala isn’t a saint by any means. But my point is this, if Phase 1 of yalls plan was to boycott Kamala and protest her to ensure she doesn’t win the presidency, yall succeeded!! So why is Phase 2 of yalls plan to STILL protest a woman who no longer has power? Not only she so happens to be the only one from that administration that yall are STILL protesting… that doesn’t seem a bit Anti-Black?

They did? They do? I don’t see Joe Biden or Pete out here doing public book tours, are they? If they were they would also be getting protested. There was a protest at an event that Antony Blinken was at a couple days ago…

she is touring around and talking about her campaign for her book. her book acknowledges some flaws of the campaign, but strangely she does not. i would like for a significant figure in the democrat party to recognize what can be done to win, make good change, when theyre in positions to speak on that

So she is simply doing a book tour, this is not a political campaign or anything like that. However what you are asking for isn’t far fetched, yes many people are looking for leadership from the Democratic Party and are trying to find someone who can speak to the more progressive needs of the party. Thats valid. But again yall are wanting that from a woman yall A. Protested to not get the job B. Is currently not seeking any political office Why not put pressure on a Gavin Newsome,Tim Walz, etc

there’s no way Walz is running, but Newsome is getting pressured and deserves to be getting pressure, he’s part of the same problem. I don’t believe that Newsome or Harris can just change their ways and magically gain progressive appeal now that they’re set on their paths, I’d prefer to see someone else entirely

I don’t care for either of them honestly. My biggest thing isn’t that im a Kamala fan, but more so trying to understand what the game plan is. No one can change my mind that it’s redundant to protest that woman now. However there are several people who we need to actually put pressure on, unfortunately Gavin Newsome seems to be the favorite, so how do we pressure and get him to be the progressive change that we need. Or how do we find a progressive to be able to go head to head with Newsome

I don’t know where it starts, but someone stepping up and not getting beaten down is needed. Unfortunately the establishment is a very real centrist block and Harris is actively continuing its mission against progressivism. Maybe it’s wasted energy but she threw away a chance of a lifetime and now wants us to buy her book about it, it rubs you the wrong way. Where do we go from here? I don’t know. I’m starting to lose hope in electoralism the way this country is designed to reward the wealthy.

Im grateful to Mamdani for giving us hope, and a candidate like him whoever they may be would be amazing for 2028… if we get a 2028 I guess. Progressive policy and engaging messaging around that policy seems to be the strategy, unflinching positivity, and it’s so tough when those with most of the power are so averse to that kind of change
