Because I think vigilantism is destabilizing and tearing the country apart. I don’t think the assassination was good or justifiable. Kirk being dead however is a net positive on the world. Both can be true at once In self defense sure I’m all for it but that’s a different situation than just going out like fucking Rambo strapped with every gun ever made

Bad people dying still bad, but simultaneously since bad people not around, world is marginally a better and safer place. This does not mean bad people dying is great for long term stability or lasting peace bc bad people dying promotes more violence
