So when people went to implement his economic framework, they used existing leadership structures to attempt to make it work. And therein lies the problem, because they used systems that had a heavily unequal power structure baked in without many changes from the feudal model (which is similarly a problem leading to inequality under capitalism)
To actually implement radical egalitarian as Marx described, you‘d need a completely different power structure than what‘s most commonly used in business and finance (which is essentially a feudal-style hierarchy), since inequality in power without any sort of counterbalancing civic forces is what leads directly to effective class stratification, which is exactly the kind of structure Marx was trying to avoid.
Precisely. Did he have some prescient observations and write compellingly about them? Definitely. But deification of Marx by communists into a kind of political religion is exceedingly short sighted with regards to actually implementing the spirit of Marx‘s ideas. It completely paves over the blindspots in Marx‘s theories that directly lead to implementation of abusive social and political structures.
