“Vote blue no matter who” is no less cult-like than MAGA

“Vote blue no matter who” is absolutely harmful but it’s quite different from maga. I mean the Democratic Party has countless issues and one of the big ones is their attachment to moderates and the status quo, which is why they’re not really a leftist party. In contrast maga is truly a new type of party, one that wants to disassemble our democracy and has only a little resemblance to traditional republicans. Vote blue no matter who is a pretty understandable harm reduction strategy in response

“Vote blue no matter who” is a reflection of how democrats are diverse enough that some consider simply not voting due to disagreements. I don’t really see this in the Republican Party

Also just common sense wise if you talk to a trump supporter and a vocal democrat voter they’ll have very different levels of removal from reality. Some democrats may be devoted to their party but they’re not saying Kamala should be granted limitless unchecked power to fix all of societies wrongs

Vote blue no matter who has been around for 20+ years

In some respects sure, but it was less widespread before our current moment. And even pre trump it was less cultish than maga. Democratic administrations almost always do better on reducing the deficit and protecting human rights than Republican ones, among other things. If you’re focused on outcomes, always voting blue isn’t completely absurd.

And again, maga is cultish in that it’s driven by complete unwavering faith in one man, not an idea or practical attempts to improve anything. There’s some logic to voting blue. There’s no logic to voting trump, which is why he discourages critical thought and education in this country. One is just clearly more cultish

Because you’re not a part of it nor try to see it in the Republican Party. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there
