why does it matter? 9/11 was over 20 years ago, the genocide is actively ongoing. many of us know someone who lost family during 9/11, and somehow people can’t empathize with Palestinians suffering through an active genocide, actively losing their family members?

like I understand what you mean, but we can refocus our energy about 9/11 into a positive force of advocacy for people suffering today yk? especially considering that we’re still funding the genocide with our tax dollars, so the least we can do is put an effort into ending the genocide

There’s videos out there of people graduating from universities in Gaza, crowded markets, and people posting their day to day there. What’s happening isn’t great, but to call it a genocide over and over isn’t correct. You end up making that word lose its meaning over time just to try to grab attention
