No, actually, sex work is not “just work”. It’s emblematic of a dysfunctional society and the economic and social conditions that are forcing women to go into that line of work should be addressed, rather than legalizing it

AND the primary benefactors of OF culture are the incels who benefit the most from this level of control over a woman for just a few dollars. Reinforcing misogyny online and opening up the pipeline towards younger and younger men to get steered into gooner culture fucking up their brains even more. For women it’s even worse where minor girls susceptible to manipulation get targeted by these incels towards posting more and more revealing content until at 18 an OF is created or she posts “menu”

I think we can focus on the economic and social conditions while also not criminalizing it tbh. if you’re right and the dysfunctional society is the root cause, treating the dysfunction will decapitate the sex work industry without ruining innocent women’s lives. and if treating dysfunction DOESNT eliminate sex work then clearly not all sex work is dysfunctional

I have friends who got into sex work bc of the dysfunction of society. they regret having to do it, they wish they didn’t. But it being illegal didn’t stop them from becoming sex workers, and they would NOT be better off having gone to jail

The solution to this is cracking down on minors posting softcore porn and using tools like AI to monitor accounts that repeatedly comment on flagged content and take down “bait”. Crack down hard on content promoting suspicious relationships. Y’all may think this is an overreaction but let me assure u as someone with gooning issues these communities and pipelines are LARGE.

what does “cracking down on minors posting softcore” even look like? putting teen girls who take selfies in tight shirts in juvie?

No like banning bait accounts and taking those posts down, and yes teen girls getting manipulated into shaking ass for thousands of likes with a comment section full of thirsty 40 year olds DOES happen and shouldn’t be allowed. Also don’t say that this is a rare occurrence bc it’s really not.

Women should be allowed to dance and shake ass obv nothing against that but in this case these are not women these are minors being manipulated via like counts. A young girl can be posting selfies and innocent content but if the creepy men stumble upon smth they like they boost that post on the algorithm via interactions. Teen girls susceptible to manipulation (and regret it when grown) end up making increasingly revealing posts for more and more positive attention from these incels and creeps

Oh yeah I’m just talking abt better moderation. But it’s a holistic issue. Men and women right now have HORRIBLE role models online. Every young woman that falls into bop culture and every man that falls into gooner culture is a failure of our society
