Unemployment has jumped up to 4.3%, joblessness is up 22.8-23.1% (sources vary), and we’re on course for a global recession. People normally work 2-3 jobs now to make rent and can’t get a single one now.

I guess that makes sense. It’s okay to get rid of jobs if that means someone can live off of 1 job instead of having 2.

I don’t think it’s that common to work more than one job unless you work minimum wage or two part time jobs. Ultimately this is a discussion of hours anyway. How many hours does the average American have to work to make ends meet, and what is the range for this

If wages increased that’d be the reality. To be able to live off of 1 paycheck average pay needs it be between $28-31 an hour depending on expenditures, excluding luxuries.

Yeah I could live off of 60k just fine. In my city at least. I would struggle to get a good “savings account”, but I could live fine.

Don’t forget, a lot of people trying to live off these wages are entire families. Lots of single parents need more than 15 an hour to feed their kids

Yes, I could not support a family of 4 with 60k. 15/hr is ~30k per year full time
