Your point could be made for all of history. People seek some kind of saintly nation/people who did it right for a period of time, and it does not exist. Rather than seeing that as woeful, it’s actually quite the opposite. We know all the different ways to do things wrong. Just don’t repeat the mistakes of the past.

I mean cultural differences aside (I obviously disagree with the issues raised about Palestinian culture) I think it’s clear that the Palestinian movement is solidly more geopolitically righteous, theyre the ones facing disproportionate aggression, land theft, genocide…etc. It’s not a 50/50 split in that regard
