Not every single member of a group needs to be involved with something to still have a disproportionate amount of them in that thing. 70% of the NBA is black, black people are disproportionately in the nba. Is every black person part of the NBA? No, but there’s still a large amount of them compared to other groups.

I’m not arguing there’s not over representation of Jews in entertainment. For instance, if all government positions were held by white people, it would be accurate to say that they represent an outsized representation in government compared to their population ratio. It’s about proportions to total population, not membership count.
