The implication that you can’t be democratically represented unless you can vote for and elect a party of your own race is racist

It’s not when most of the Israeli parties very explicitly do not have the interests of Israeli Arabs in mind

And there are Jewish members of the Israeli Arab parties. Yoav Segalovitz ran with Ra’am this year, and Ofer Cassif is an MK with Hadash.

One is a communist party, they’re insane activists The other is a token red herring for an Islamist party I see race as still a motivating factor in both Israeli and Arab parties in Israel, which I disagree with

When nearly of the Jewish parties have their ideology focused on promoting ethnic Jews at the expense of Arabs, you cannot be surprised that the neglected group will pursue their own interests. Why is your problem with the marginalized group seeking recognition and not with the dominant political parties explicitly neglecting Arabs as policy? Arabs shouldn’t need their own political parties.

I don’t have a problem with a political party being built around a strong identity I have a problem with claims about needing racial organizations, especially if we’re talking about being “democratically represented” Both jewish and Arab parties in Israel act in ways I don’t like

I think the Jewish parties are the most to blame for that. As policy they generally refuse to cooperate with the Arab ones. If Arabs were included in the political process, there would be less need to form their own parties. And I would argue that those “insane activist” communists are one of the only Israeli parties built upon ethnically neutral cooperation.
