No, I’m doing research on my local maniciple election coming up and one of the candidates for reelection voted for a ceasefire in Gaza… I’m like, what tf are they going to do? Like why don’t they vote on solving world hunger? Lmao it’s just a waste of time and seems like virtue signaling.

From what I know is the only influence with Israel without giving my location is that some companies are apart of it? But still, what will that do? It’s performative I feel. It’s just a college town, in the summer like 60% of the population is gone.

Maybe there’s anti-BDS legislation that could be repealed. Might be worth looking into the rest of their stances but this one isn’t as big at the local level imo
