Ok, so manual labor is fine, or getting an education. So, to afford college, you need money. Not exactly feasible for the lowest tax brackets. Manual labor makes a pittance. That’s why so many immigrants take those jobs. With those hurdles in mind, how do you expect the lower class to rise up without external aid?
I’m not trying to set up a gotcha. I’m trying to actually discuss these scenarios with people of differing opinions. I’m establishing hypotheticals because these are reality for people. In order to get a loan, you need capital. You can get federal loans, which itself is a government support program, but that doesn’t pay enough for school. Trade schools are cheaper, but still not free.
