I’ve talked with a lot of leftist men and some of them who are really into it are very strange. I remember reading a Twitter post by a girl who joined the DSA. 2 different men tried to get 1 on 1s with her as soon as she met them

As a man, I really get the feeling that a lot of “leftists” who are men have this idea that if they just claim to have the right political views and are super performative about issues like abortion, women will just have sex with them. A lot of guys will do or say just about anything to get their dick touched

my hot take, as a leftist woman, is that liberal men make the best boyfriends (this is a silly generalization & not serious) but on a more serious note, i know what you’re talking about. some leftist men’s approach to dating or having sex with women feels off.

Back in high school (rural Missouri, very red area) there were very few leftists, mainly just me and one other guy, and we only ever really talked about politics, but eventually he ended up dating one of my close friends. They lasted a month. The stories I heard were wild.

Lol exactly, “one of the good ones” is such a good way to put it. It makes me cringe honestly seeing men be such outspoken “activists” online about women’s issues or putting like “feminist” in their tinder bio as if it’s not entirely a performance for attention. It’s like the male version of “tradwife” women who just feed into what they think men want to the point it’s weird and feels really ungenuine
