I think that’s a large part of it, but also I think it has to do with many right wing platforms being very freely available to anyone while with fact checked left wing news often require a subscription, logging in, or a paywall

That definitely plays a part in it as well. There is also a lack of censorship on most right wing platforms in my opinion. Take Fox News for example, they publish a story and run with it that causes tensions to rise due to inaccuracy. It’s a classic war of the world’s scenario.

And for those who don’t know, back in the day there was a radio show that broadcast the events of the story, War of the Worlds by H.G Wells that created mass hysteria. I can’t remember when specifically.
