Food insecurity is NOT hunger. This is how the USDA defines it.

It’s still a problem, but we are doing better with food security than nearly every society in human history.

There are still millions of households in the US that have to make reductions to their food intake or rely on community resources to feed themselves and it’s an almost completely preventable problem. And Republicans actively take us backwards by cutting SNAP or the free school lunch program
