It’s a very strange worldview. Ultimately what MTG, Tucker Carlson, etc believe is that the US needs to scale back its Middle East involvement to laser focus on war with China (and maybe some Latin American intervention as a treat). They’re not anti imperialists, they’re logical imperialists

I mean it only happened once, she’s been consistent otherwise. The reasoning made sense for this one but I do think AOC would’ve been able to defend a “no” vote with “well we’re already giving them $3.8B, they can use that on the Iron Dome”. But she wouldn’t be able to defend against “omg she voted with MTG, she’s an antisemite too”
