There are fake bullets called snapcaps used for practicing which could build confidence with handling your gun

I’d need the ammo to be somewhere I couldn’t access which kinda defeats the purpose of having it for defense in the first place

Maybe get an old gyrojet pistol. The ammo is rocket-based, so it needs range to build up lethal velocity

I’m actually not a terrible shot. Like I’ve been shooting multiple times a year since I was little, but my concern isn’t really about not handling it right but more about handling it right in the wrong ways
