I’m not going along with a trend or a group. I have no problem people speaking about politics. I just believe concerts are the one time when they shouldn’t. In order for me to one by definition I have to “be a passive follower who goes on long with a group without personal conviction” this is literally none of that

Politics let you pay for your ticket. Is it really such a crime to have to live through a discussion about them?

When I go to a concert I don’t want to think about politics or what’s going on in the world. I want the couple hours of freedom where I don’t have to stress about like or the horrible things going on. I think a lot of people feel that way.

It really isn’t. Many artists in itself believe left and right light idk Dolly Parton. She believed in everyone’s rights and was far left but never once talked about politics because she also believes music is where people find freedom

Politically, you were not prevented from exchanging that money for goods and services on the basis of race or sex. Politically, you HAVE THE ABILITY to escape. The drones fly 24/7 over gaza. I think the best way to put this is that he doesn’t have a developed enough opinion on the topic that he would like to comment, or he doesn’t want to share his own, but you expect him to kowtow (even though you know what he says in that case would just be him parroting your own beliefs under duress). That lets you maintain your nice echo chamber, because even the musical artists you listen to MUST agree with you.
