The government now has relentless power but the people only have the *illusion of privilege to garner support

I’m on the left, and kinda disagree. There are ultra wealthy people on the right that spend their time and money persuading a poor majority into believing their fallacies. Just from a statistics point, those with higher education (ie privilege) are more likely to be left leaning. Probably because they have the time to introspect as to why there is a wealth divide, whereas a lot of poor people turn on Fox News as entertainment after a long day of hard work
