Most people in Iran speak both, since any devout Muslim will tell you, the Quran is meant to be read in Arabic. Farsi and Arabic have lots of linguistic overlap as a result of that tenant. Allah is what Iranians call God, because they read their holy book in Arabic, not Farsi.
