How are the “Only US born citizens should govern America” not trying to call for ted cruz to resign? Is it only Ilan Omar they dont like? I need clarification

Ted Cruz was born to US citizens abroad so he’s a native-born citizen

so its not like the US where a person born here is a citizen here or is it like dual citizenship

Native-born US citizens are given citizenship at birth. The way to get that is to be born on US soil or born to at least one US citizen parent (regardless of the country you’re born in — unless they don’t allow dual citizenship). He was born to US citizens in Canada, so at birth he was likely a US-Canadian dual citizen
