As a medical student I agree, the capitalization (idek if I used that word right) has forced things into a system restricted by what insurance is allowing doctors to do and allows hospital admin to be too powerful

Yeah. Getting ready to start rotations and people are talking abt residency, and you can easily pull 100+ hours a week and you’ll still only be making just over 60k… not a lot of money considering most residents have a shit ton of loan money they need to pay back, are sometimes the only breadwinner in the family of 2+ individuals and sometimes kids, PLUS paying thousands of dollars for board exams
