very much so not true. right vs left is economic structure, with right being capitalist and left being communist. i dont think there is a single communist official in the united states. zohran mamdani is a democratic socialist, which is more in the realm of true left of center. democrats are capitalists, through and through.

That’s a common misconception, the DNC’s main purpose is actually to undermine leftist movements because they’re a threat to capitalist interests.

On the US political spectrum, democrats are on the left. Leftists are too, but they’re to the left of democrats. Usually some sort of democratic socialist, socialist, communist, etc. Leftists do not consider democrats to be leftist. They call them neoliberal or “liberal” instead

They’re talking about a letter from A Birmingham jail where MLK says the white moderate is a greater threat to freedom than the KKK. Malcom X also frequently talked about the great western satan that is white (Neo) liberalism

it’s important to note that the US political spectrum is entirely separated from the world. on the global scale, democrats are entirely right-wing; but we created our own political spectrum in order to establish an arbitrary distinction between the two parties, despite that distinction being mostly rhetorical (I.e. “left vs right”)

The whole “well for America they’re left wing” spiel is lowkey a psyop in my opinion. The more radical right-wing camps started conflating us with liberals ages ago in order to discredit both at once and the Democrats picked it up for branding. They only pretend to be left wing specifically to delegitimize the left and make them look more fringe than they are.
