Republican voters—Did you know that Republican politicians largely voted against a proposal to stop arms sales to the UAE which is supplying weapons to the RSF which is committing a genocide in Sudan?

I feel like the lack of restriction of the use of the word genocide just hurts everyone, every war crime isn’t a genocide. Genocides have strict criteria and it isn’t a term to be used lightly.

For this one, the US straight up said it was genocide and placed sanctions on the RSF leader. Afaik, Trump hasn’t lifted the sanctions or revoked the statement that it was genocide

The RSF have engaged in mass killings of civilians, mass sexual violence, forcible displacement, and have explicitly expressed the intention to erase the Masalit as an ethnic group. Whats your definition of genocide

The stage 5 famine stuff everyone has been talking about in Gaza happened a year ago in Sudan. It is a genocide

Crazy how you’re saying that they have criteria but apparently have no idea that it fits the criteria, so does the genocide in gaza, and of the uyghur people, and many others. ‘War crime’ literally cannot be your fallback word for genocide because the latter is systematic and the other is supposedly one instance.
