I’m very uninformed about this case, but everyone I’ve spoken to who claims to think she should be treated like a cold-blooded killer also INSISTS to me that her crime was so horrible that the insanity defense shouldn’t be available even if she fits the requirements perfectly. Which makes me think she’s probably not the conniving murderer they make her out to be, as a matter of first impression.

I have zero clue what to make of her, truth be told. But there’s the skeptical side of me that thinks the psych evaluation is giving way too much credibility to a psychiatric break. I don’t have anything to base that on so I don’t want to be taken seriously with that assertion.

that’s fair. But I do not believe she killed them bc she hated them or anything like that, i think it’s fair to say “oh there’s definitely something wrong with her”, especially bc she’s paralyzed, it’s not like if her defense gets supported she’s gonna go back out to regular society. She’s gonna have to pay for her crimes for the rest of her life. Also her husband remarried 6months after it happened, seems like everyone is that situation was losing their minds.

That part. Like she sold her soul and killer her kids bc of innate evilness. That makes no sense, also not what the law cares about. She killed her kids, we may never know the real reason why, but I don’t think she’s a threat to society anymore, and I understand why she should go to prison. But no one’s talking about the reality of the case, it’s not the first or last time we’re gonna see cases like this. And what else could we do to her to get more punishment.
