Libs are def using this to make fun of poor people in the south. They’ve been duped by Trump ofc, but we gotta harness that anger at elites and take power away from the fascists by showing how it’s not just liberal elites but the whole capitalist class

Bby they’re blaming Biden still. There’s no hope for them

I’m a leftist in NC. While I agree with your sentiment, getting conservatives to divert their anger from Biden towards the bourgeoisie is a near-impossible task. There’s too much misinformation here.

Neoliberals are literally just as evil as the rest. All the same beast

I’m saying they’re actively blaming Biden for their FEMA being denied

That’s why you combat propaganda with propaganda.

Yeah so the attention isn’t moving anywhere but the left. It’s impossible to make them think the right would hurt them

It’s not simply about truth and righteousness it’s about winning the information war

That’s why we should weaponize Information.

No but we can all collectively do that. That’s how Fox News started and all that shit. They disrupted the liberal media with disinformation campaigns. We can do the same.

I mean, yeah. It’s just going to need to be super grassroots and well-organized, since capital will never amass behind a true leftist propaganda campaign.

And tbh it’s not even disinformation, it’s just a specific framing of events. That’s why the neoliberal and neoconservative movements have been so successful, by framing things a specific way

And yeah it will have to be grassroots. The neocon movement and maga all started on talk radio

I agree! Propaganda can still report facts.

That’s a good point about how fascist propaganda also had modest beginnings.

Yeah bc like even now with Trump, a lot of what he says *borders* on full on lies or feels like full on lies, but really it’s just extreme mangling of facts and reality (“alternative facts”) which is exactly why it cannot be combated with the truth, bc MAGA finds those nuggets of truth in Trump’s words and he is a convincing orator. So we need effective propaganda with those nuggets of truth that can overwhelm to noise of Trump

I think how you get to maga people and redirect their very real and valid anger at the destruction caused by neoliberalism is to hone their anger of “elites” and subtly point out who that is. Like yeah the bigotry is harder to deconstruct, but you can relate to their anger and nudge them in the right direction

My bestie was super maga when we met but now she’s more so just a general populist I think. She doesn’t like Trump or MAGA anymore and thinks that’s silly. She’s not on board with leftism or anything but it’s improvement
