Right. Idk why but even the small towns, suburbs, and smaller cities in the NE are very walkable (especially compared to the rest of America).

yeah they were built more for people, before horse and carriages and then cars were prevalent

Appalachia is good place to “disappear” a lot of rich people, celebrities have vacation homes, or stay in the surrounding area for how sparsely populated it is and low key it is.

Some of them are. I couldn’t get to school or even the grocery store down the street without a car safely when I lived in Westchester NY bc there were no sidewalks in the area with the exception of downtown.
