Do I have to convert to conservatism to bend over or can I bend over regardless of my ideology?

I want him to win, but all the New Yorkers that are scared of progressives and/or muslims are gonna move here to Philly and our housing prices are gonna go up 😔

Meanwhile our mayor is gonna be in her fuckass ways but I’ll be damned if she urges ppl to fill parks with trash again and a bunch of Giants fans throw trash in our parks

New Yorkers literally already move to Philly in droves. They like the cheaper rent/property taxes while enjoying NYC wages. You think anyone here is moving into those fugly $1M condos popping up in our worst neighborhoods

What percent of New Yorkers have actually moved to Philly?

Don’t get me wrong I fully believe the trend is there, but it’s *already* there. It won’t increase just because mamdani is in office. If anything, assuming even a few of his plans see fruit, you’d see *less* people moving to Philly

Awful metric to go by because of the population difference. If even 0.2% of New Yorkers moved to Philly, that’d be a 1% increase in population here. Of New Yorkers moving from the city, Philadelphia is the most common place they move to.

Sorry bro I misunderstood your initial claim. Yes. But that’s gonna happen in these next five or so years pretty much no matter what. Great Lakes area is gonna explode

Kitchen/living room in one room, bedroom and bathroom in the other. My area isn’t the best, but it’s not nearly the worst. You can get a 3 bedroom in Kensington for like 1200. There’s also $450 studios in a decent part of the far northeast but I live right next to the subway so i don’t think i’d trade that for lower rent

New York Times ran a story in 2005 about an inside joke of Philadelphians calling themselves the sixth borough and now it’s becoming reality 😔 One can only hope for a direct train line between the cities though. Changing lines at Trenton is an inconvenience
