- ran a hasty campaign led by a woman with big energy and a reputation (never a good idea in misogynist USA) - made one of the major running points abortion, which literally neither side has a united decision around, cloudy ethics plus an alienation of the entire Christian nationalist population - addressed too many problems and brought too few solutions. Trump is a horrible person but offered a lot of big, very real promises which appealed to a frenzied and impressionable population

If caving is the word you want to use. It’s not my choice, I thought she had some alright policies, but the fact of the matter is that evidently a qualified woman stood less of a chance than a felon rapist. Shouldn’t be that way but that’s literally just how this country is. If the DNC were focused on actually winning voters over from one end of the extreme, they wouldn’t have made the massive oversight of choosing someone from the farthest possible other end as their candidate.
