How does a right to food work? If I decide to move to the middle of desert, do I have the right to demand they send a helicopter out to feed me? Or is it only a right for people living in certain ways? Because then its not a basic human right, but a privilege. I can have free speech, freedom from self incrimination, etc, in the middle of nowhere.

Okay so it’s not talking about the individual, but each countries population. It’s pretty much asking “do you think your citizens have a right to food so they don’t starve and die” and the us said “fuck our citizens they can starve and die”

Food is a basic human right. Everyone deserves food no matter how much money they have in their pocket

That’s not what a human right is thou It’s the citizens ability to do something and not be stopped by the state A human right to food would do literally nothing since everything it would mean is already a crime

So why dont I living in the desert deserve food to be flown out to me if I cant afford to do so? Is there a minimum threshold of people who deserve food? If I get 5 people do we get food? 10? 100?
