Christian here, churches should not be forced to perform gay marriages if it is against their beliefs, BUT it should always be LEGAL AND ACCESSIBLE for any two consenting adults to be legally married
Someone give one good reason why gay marriage should be overturned. And no, your religion doesn’t count. Believe what you want, but you can’t force the entire country to as well.

OP here, and I agree. As much as it does suck to be denied by a church, there are many who will accept you and marry you and your partner.

Personally I belong to a church that performs gay weddings and I agree with them but another church that doesn’t agree shouldn’t have to

I agree, but an issue arises when the only marriage clerk in the county is religious

Do you think churches should be allowed to refuse interracial marriages?

Why would you want to get married in a church thats only doing it out of legal requirement, outside of wanting a government backed power trip?

no churches have been forced to do this? this is a meaningless hypothetical to make yourself as a christian feel like the victim

I believe they should be able to refuse and wedding they want, however I believe that is extremely wrong and goes against everything Christ teaches especially when it comes to interracial marriage

In that case they should either be forced to certify the marriage OR there should be another non-religious marriage clerk in that country

I know that this has never been something forced and I am not trying to make myself a victim. This is simply an explanation of what I think the law should be

I should have acknowledged this in my original post that and I can see why you see it as me trying to make Christians look like victims but I assure you that was not my intent
