when ICE starts weaponizing this beautiful woman’s soul and memory to say “look the immigrant killed a teacher! a black woman!” trying to further divide us. DO NOT LET THEM! that man shouldn’t have had to flee in fear. she shouldn’t have been collateral.

“that man shouldn’t have had to flee in fear” Is there just no accountability? He was given lawful orders by federal agents, HE disobeyed them, and HE killed an innocent American citizen. If I were stopped by the police and fled from them before killing someone with the vehicle I ran in, the burden of blame would fall on ME because I was the one who fled in the first place. It doesn’t matter how scared I claim to be in that hypothetical because I still committed the action and caused the result

i really fear conservative or centrist poc seeing this and possibly encouraging racism and “othering” amongst our own people, as if the govt isn’t trying to lead an actual race war already… i hope you’re right and people see through these things

he’s serving time for it, i’m sure he will feel shame for the rest of his life. what i said still stands. even if he is undocumented or otherwise criminal he shouldn’t be put in a situation like that. he was being hunted by federally protected wannabe badasses with itchy trigger fingers. if he was approached by respectable law abiding people with no reputation for murder and human rights abuse, he likely wouldn’t have been going like a bat out of hell. any “justice” is outweighed by our methods.

“Shouldn’t be put in a situation like that” Again, why are we pushing all accountability off of this guy? If he wasn’t here illegally, he wouldn’t have to worry about being prosecuted by the guys who remove illegal aliens. He put himself in the situation where ICE isn’t beneficial for him. If I were running from the police and caused a similar accident, should I be spared from all blame simply because I say “they shot a guy last week so I was scared”?

idk if you’re maliciously trying to be obtuse to what i’m saying or if you’re genuinely not hearing me, and i honestly don’t mean that rudely….. he’s being held accountable, serving time. our “guys” as an agency are bs, their purpose bastardized into nothing but racism and cruel stupidity. literally anyone including you could “put themselves” in that situation nowadays because they are indiscriminate assholes. have a great night friend, i hope you find peace
