I mean it’s normal to feel kinda shitty about it when you find out you’re a benefactor from an unjust system, but the way to deal with that is to accept that fact and that you didn’t build the system that gave you those benefits so you’re not personally responsible for having white privilege, not to just go “nuh uh the white man didn’t do all that”

Also when you accept that the system is unjust and you benefit from it but are not responsible, you will feel guilty if you do not then decide to work against that system.

My comments also don’t suggest that you should feel guilty unless you’re simultaneously racially conscious AND not doing anything to affect change, because at that point you HAVE made a personal choice to uphold injustices, even if you didn’t create them.
