Im not aware of any laws against sodomy actually being enforced close to 2003. I think it was functionally legal well before the Supreme Court explicitly banned laws restricting it.

oh wow. i just checked and im honestly surprised my state (wv) decriminalized it in 1976. that’s crazy

Clearly there were issues if Texas was taken to court over it. Plus if it’s overturn now i ABSOLUTELY think people will take gay people to court over it or try to have us arrested

Potentially, but I read the police only stumbled on the gay sex because they where looking for a weapon But they definitely decided to try and enforce the law that time which led to the case. I would be interested to see how many people were actually getting charged each year tho.
