we have a progressive tax system so everyone does quite literally have equal taxes at the same salary. if you move up a tax bracket, only that extra income above the bracket gets taxed at a higher rate bozo. also why don’t ppl making over 160k a year have to pay that extra income into social security with an even further diminished replacement rate
