as a lesbian he is, you know. Catholic. there wasn’t going to be a “pro gay” option if he is preaching compassion, that can only be a good thing.

My parents are catholic and think being gay is a sin but that it should be allowed by law because of separation of church and state and that their religion should not be law.

Francis has said that homosexuality should be a sin and not a crime and that anyone who wants to criminalize homosexuality is wrong so that’s kinda a very similar idea how I see it
