Massie got primaried because he wanted to hold pedophiles accountable and stop our government being controlled by a foreign power, and MAGAts voted against him because Trump said so. They literally can’t name any other reasoning. MAGA is truly a cult

All he had to do was vote for the BBB and nothing else would have mattered, he’d still have Trump’s support

BBB is Build Back Better, you’re talking about OBBBA, and he didn’t vote for it because it was an atrocious bill, and he has actual principles and care for his constituents

So if you’re able to know what I’m talking about due to context, it’s not really necessary to issue a correction. And that very well could be, but he lost favor with Trump. This wasn’t a foreign issue, he lost the support domestically due to his split from the core of the party

Yes I was being intentionally petty. You may be factually correct as to why he lost (tens of millions in AIPAC money didn’t help either), but it only strengthens my point, because Massie has acted very much in line with the proclaimed policy values of MAGA leading up to 2024. But those were never actually Trump’s values or intentions, and the base is obviously happy to just follow Trump blindly regardless of what happens rather than maintain consistent policy convictions on literally anything

Literally my whole point is that “he lost because he lost favor with Trump” despite remaining entirely consistent on policy *is* the evidence that MAGA is a cult
