The bill is for any resident of the West Bank who kills an Israeli “with the intent to negate the existence of the State of Israel.” Nice try though

The law effectively enshrines capital punishment for Palestinians alone. Palestinians are always tried in Military Court. Israelis in Criminal Court. In plain language Israel gets to hang any Palestinian they deem a terrorist.

Again, it applies to literally any resident in the West Bank who kills someone with the intent of ethnically cleansing Israelis. Nice try tho

“Under the new law, Israeli civilian courts — which try both Israeli Jewish and Arab citizens — can apply the death penalty only for homicides intended to ‘negate the existence of the State of Israel.’” Also this is according to The NY Times and directly contradicts your comment

Yes but Israel isn’t part of the West Bank. When they build new settlements it’s a part of Israel.

It’s like the anti voting laws that the US had that didn’t say black people but were written in a way that only applied to Black people. This is no different anyone acting like it actually effects any Jewish person is either ignorant or dishonest

I don’t trust articles from sources that are bought and paid for.

No, bad analogy actually. Disproportionately disenfranchising people is not comparable to disproportionately preventing terrorist attacks

I mean you said your complaint was that I paid for it, which was incorrect. I found the article for free on Google. Idk what else to tell you man

Here's what Reuters had to say about the specifics of the bill. The Guardian pretty much said the same thing as Reuters Also I just read the NYT article & again same. So you either didn't comprehend what you read or you're just lying

Even your own image says exactly what I told you. “New legislation mandates either life imprisonment or the death penalty for anyone convicted of “deliberately causing the death of a person with the intent of ending Israel’s existence.” That’s exactly what I told you word for word.

So Palestinians are tired in Military court with a 97% conviction rate. So under extremely special non specified special circumstances a Palestinian could get life over death. Again do you honestly believe that Palestine who are held without being changed & sent to a different court that has a 97% convention rate will have fair & equal outcomes when compared to that of Jews who are tired in Israeli civil court?

There’s a lot of typos in that but I think I understand what you’re saying and I partially agree. The legal system is not entirely fair, you’re correct. This particular law is not the problem, however

Got it so making a law that will result in one group of people disproportionately receiving much harsher treatment, which will result in death, purely because of their race isn’t the real problem. Question do you believe Israel is an apartheid state that’s committing a genocide?

Man, I wish I knew who this #1 guy is, because he’s spitting out intelligent and seemingly balanced arguments. Also, I appreciate you guys bringing this to our attention, because if Israel starts hanging Palestinians left and right, that’d be a real issue. However, it appears that this law, though perhaps not optimal, is not meant for the “genocide of Palestinians,” but rather for the (somewhat harsh) punishment of terrorists.

Also, why is it that our generation has so much trouble being courteous when discussing issues, especially online?

Do you know how Military Court works for Palestinians vs Israeli Jews? Also are you ignorant or just disingenuous?
