Statute of limitations and double jeopardy should not exist for people accused of serious crimes, like child murder/SA.

Cool, I accuse you for child murder. What? You didn’t do it? Let’s take it to court. What? You won because you clearly didn’t commit child murder? Now I have infinite time to try you again and again and again until you don’t have enough money to pay for a decent lawyer. Oh look, you’re “guilty” with a felony on your record. You will never get a job again. THIS is why double jeopardy is protected in the constitution.

It’s so so easy to come up with a category of person who “doesn’t deserve rights”. But the moment that category is created, the people in power have a vested interest in turning anyone they oppose into that group.
