Not even fascism at this point, just straight Hitler activity. At least Mussolini was fond of history even if it was for Nationalist purposes (The Roman barges). Hitler employed archaeology only as a way to prove hyperdiffusion, searching for evidence of the “Aryan race” to try and scrape together evidence for his claims. All this while high ranking Nazis were into the occult and also used archaeology not just as a Nationalist propaganda piece, but also as a tool for discrimination.
