It is literally economics 101 to use tariffs to increase revenue WHEN YOU HAVE A COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE ‼️ utilizing tariffs as a political weapon (internationally) does fucking nothing for a country that is a service economy. The few things we have a comparative advantage in do not account for the amount of imports that we need to support manufactured goods
